FIMI Group announces the successful signing of the Final Acceptance Test (FAT) by Padana Tubi for a new high-performance slitter line designed for processing stainless steel and hot rolled steel.

The line is engineered to handle demanding production requirements, with a thickness range from 0.80 to 8.00 mm, strip widths up to 2000 mm, and coil weights up to 40 tons.

This installation is part of a broader supply program between FIMI Group and Padana Tubi, which began with the commissioning in 2021 of the largest and most powerful slitter in Europe. The project will be completed with a new slitter line dedicated to cold rolled steel, which will be installed in the second half of 2026, capable of processing thicknesses from 1.00 to 6.00 mm, widths up to 1650 mm, and coil weights up to 35 tons.

Both the 2021 slitter and the newly installed line are equipped with advanced automatic slitting tools storage systems, enabling optimized setup times and efficient management of slitting recipes, ensuring maximum productivity and operator safety.

This milestone further strengthens the long-standing partnership between FIMI Group and one of the leading global tube manufacturers, confirming FIMI’s role as a trusted technology partner for high-performance slitting solutions.
