It is with great enthusiasm that FIMI Group announces the acquisition of another important order by TATA STEEL. FIMI has in fact been selected for the supply of levelling and transversal cutting lines, one for wide coils and one for narrow coils complete with automatic packaging systems in line, and a longitudinal cutting linealso with a packing system (horizontal) for Tata Steel’s CR Downstream processing center in Kalinganagar, India.

FIMI was chosen for its consolidated know-how in the creation of plants for the processing of high-strength materials, thanks to the adoption of cutting-edge systems such as the Torque Dynamic Distribution System ( TDDS)which distributes the ideal torque on the flattening rollers of the transversal cutting lines and the Non-Friction Tensioning System (NFTS), a system which equips the braking carriages of the longitudinal cutting lines (Slitter) as well as other automatic systems that make it possible to reduce operator intervention, thus improvingthe productivity , the quality and the safety of the systems.

The customer will also be supported by the new Indian headquarters of FIMI for the entire duration of the project, start-up and after-sales assistance.
