Rif. 31.08 FR – CNC MILLING MACHINE OPERATOR

FIMIGroup is looking for a CNC Milling Machine Operator to join its production facility in Valmadrera (Italy).
Main responsibilities
The successful candidate will operate CNC milling machines, machining mechanical components used in the construction of technologically advanced industrial plants supplied worldwide. Working closely with the Machine Tools Department Manager and the production team, the role requires precision, technical expertise, and a strong focus on quality.
What you will do
• Operate CNC milling machines.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Perform machining operations while complying with dimensional and geometric tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including vernier calipers, internal and external micrometers, and depth gauges.
• Handle components using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Machine large steel fabrications and components ranging from 3 to 10 metres in length.
• Collaborate with the Machine Tools Department Manager and CNC programmers to optimize machining operations.
Qualifications and experiences
Technical Qualifications
• At least 4 years of experience as a CNC Milling Machine Operator.
• Experience machining fabricated steel structures.
• Good knowledge of mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of dimensional and geometric tolerances.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Experience using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Experience handling large components (3-10 metres).
• Knowledge of SELCA 3045 and HEIDENHAIN 530 CNC controls.

Contract, Working Hours & Benefits
• National Metalworking Industry Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanici Industria).
• Classification level: C2/C3, depending on experience.
• Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
• Company canteen.
• Annual welfare benefits of €250.
• Permanent employment is the preferred solution; however, where appropriate, an initial 6-month fixed-term contract may be offered, with the possibility of extension and subsequent conversion to a permanent contract.
• Shift work: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM and 2:00 PM-10:00 PM (no night shift).
• Flexibility in working hours is required, including overtime on Saturdays when necessary.
