Last Friday 13th<\/sup> of September, we were guests of Tata Steel Netherlands for the presentation of the brand-new levelling and cut to length line <\/strong><\/span>that FIMI has realized for TATA plant in Feijen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our team was thus able to illustrate to the guests the special features of this line that brings together, in a single plant, all the best technical solutions that FIMI has developed over the years<\/strong> which is the outcome of experience gained over time on different projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, there is no line which is so complete among those designed in the last 10 years because the state of the art of every single machine represents the FIMI product<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Due to the trust shown by the customer, who was open to being guided by our know-how and experience, we did not <\/span>compromised on the composition, proposing what FIMI philosophy considers to be the correct configuration of the system <\/strong><\/span>making<\/strong>, in some cases, technical improvements on certain equipment with the aim of optimizing performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have in this regard:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • introduced hydraulic sliding couplings<\/strong> (so far only tested on another line which, however, processes completely different materials).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • developed our debander<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • optimized some functions on software<\/strong> and machine adjustment to make the set-up as automated as possible<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • supplied a new hydraulic power pack<\/strong>, developed with a new concept to optimize power consumption and noise<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Many improvements that make the plant the benchmark for levelling and cutting lines on the market and that will enable Tata Steel Netherlands to achieve its goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Mr. Stig Eriksen, Managing Director of Feijen<\/strong>: \u2018With the commissioning of the new line, we can process steel sheets faster and of higher quality. This represents a huge improvement in the reliability of deliveries to customers. The project started two years ago with the customers\u2019 involvement considering their current and future needs. This resulted in the current design with unique capabilities. Our supplier FIMI has also done an excellent job<\/em>.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
