FIMIGroup achieves FAT approval for a new Sheet-to-Sheet Leveler at Nichelcrom
The customer-approved machine is designed to process stainless steel sheets up to 30 mm thick and 2,500 mm wide, strengthening an established technical partnership between FIMIGroup and Nichelcrom.
Designed for the demanding requirements of stainless steel processing, the machine handles cold- and hot-rolled sheets in 300 and 400 series stainless steels, as well as Duplex grades.
Heavy-gauge stainless steel processing
The Sheet-to-Sheet Leveler can process material from 5 to 30 mm thick and from 600 to 2,500 mm wide. Sheet lengths range from 1,500 to 8,000 mm, while tensile strength can reach up to 950 MPa, depending on the material thickness. The machine operates at a working speed of up to 10 m/min.
Its configuration is engineered to correct sheet deformation and deliver the flatness required for efficient and reliable downstream processing across a wide range of stainless steel grades and dimensions.
Part of a wider investment programme
The FAT approval confirms the progress of a broader multi-line investment programme developed around Nichelcrom’s stainless steel processing requirements. The programme is designed to expand and strengthen the company’s sheet and coil processing capabilities.
The programme includes several FIMIGroup solutions currently operating or progressing through different stages of testing, manufacturing and engineering, confirming a shared commitment to technological development, production quality and long-term growth.
Through this project, FIMIGroup continues to demonstrate its ability to support stainless steel processors with tailored equipment, advanced leveling expertise and integrated solutions developed around specific production requirements.
